Youth Fitness and Sports Fall Classes

The JCC offers great sports and recreation programs for all ages – from preschool classes to youth sports, teams and leagues, to adult pickup games and leagues.

Our two gymnasiums are well-maintained and open year-round. Our facilities also include dance studios, classrooms, convertible squash/racquetball courts and access to sports fields.

From basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis and tumbling for young children through teens, to adult basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and Pickleball, the JCC has it all!

Cecile Goldberg Levine Family Open Gym:

Ages 1-5 play in the gym with balls, bikes and other equipment.
Sundays, 10-11:30 am.
No fee; no registration required

Tiny Tot Sports Sampler:
Ages 3-6. Your child will have fun learning the basics of various sports and enhanced body awareness. Sundays September 10-October 1st.

Super Shooters Soccer: Ages 3-6. Goal! Children develop motor, team and social skills while learning basic soccer skills and rules. Sundays October 15-December 17

Tiny Stars Tennis: Ages 3-6. Children learn tennis skills and partner play through fun games and activities. Emphasis is on balance, movement and eye-hand coordination. Mondays, October 16-December 18

Tumbling Tots: Ages 3-6 Children will be introduced to the basics of gymnastics as well as working on balance and coordination in a fun and structured atmosphere. Tuesdays, October 17-December 19.

Little Penguins Hockey: Ages 3-6 Shoot and score! Children will learn the basics of stick handling, passing, shooting and defense. Thursdays October 19-December 21

Tiny Hoopers Basketball:
Ages 3-6 children learn the basics of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting and the rules. Fridays, October 20-December 22.

Youth Sports Sampler: ages 7-12 Learn the basics of various sports and increase your coordination while having fun with your friends. Sports include hockey, tennis, basketball and soccer.

Sundays, 1:30-2:30 pm September 10- October 1   Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm September 12- October 3

Youth Kickball League: ages 7-12 Have fun with your friends as you learn the basic skills and rules of kickball through instruction and game play. Sundays, 1:30-2:30 pm October 15-December 17

Gymnastics: ages 7-12 Learn how to properly execute rolls, kicks and combination moves as well as the basics of floor exercises. Sundays, 3-4 pm September 10-October 1 October 15-December 17

Fun ‘N Fit: ages 8-12 Come have fun getting fit! This training program includes interval training and age-appropriate workouts. Personal records will be kept. Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm October 18-December 20

Youth Tennis:

Learn the skills and rules of the game from certified instructor Mark Haffner.
October 20-December 22
Fridays Introductory – 5 pm
Intermediate – 5-6 pm

Private Tennis and Rollerblading Lessons Learn from certified instructor Mark Haffner. By appointment.

It’s a paddle sport for all ages and all athletic ability levels. Played on a badminton-sized court with a tennis
style net, it has very simple rules and is easy to learn and play. Think oversized
ping pong!

Our two indoor courts are used for racquetball, handball and squash. Members may reserve courts up to
seven days in advance. Reservations are taken during regular JCC hours at the
Centerfit desk, or call 412-339-5411.
The fee for court time is $4/hour and
must be paid in full at the Centerfit desk prior to play. Centerfit Platinum members play for no charge. A general member or a guest must pay a $2 court fee when playing with a Centerfit
Platinum member.
