New Dates for Blood Drives – JCC Squirrel Hill and South Hills

May 18, 2020 to August 27, 2020

Vitalant is now testing all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. This includes JCC blood drive locations.

While a positive antibody test does not mean that someone is immune to COVID-19, it does mean that they may be eligible to donate convalescent plasma and help people who are still recovering from coronavirus infection. Over time, antibody tests and clinical follow-up will provide the medical community with more information on whether a person who has recovered from COVID-19 is immune to the virus and for how long.

The JCC with Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) is hosting drives for desperately needed blood donations in our Squirrel Hill and South Hills facilities in controlled and safe environments following CDC and Allegheny County guidelines.
