JCC Squirrel Hill, 5738 Forbes Avenue & South Hills, 345 Kane Blvd., Scott
November 3, 2020
The JCC, in partnership with The Allegheny County Board of Elections, is providing a safe space for voters in The South Hills to cast their ballots on November 3, 2020.
The JCC’s South Hills building will be an official polling place for voters in Scott Township’s Ward 8 Districts 1 and 2. Two voting machines will be installed in the building’s gymnasium, an area large enough to allow for safe social distancing.
This is in addition to the voting site for Ward 14 that the JCC has been providing at its Squirrel Hill location for many years.
“Voting is one of the most fundamental freedoms we have as citizens of the United States of America,” says Jason Kunzman, JCC Chief Operating Officer. “It allows us the opportunity to actively engage in setting a course for our local communities and the nation as a whole.”
Regarding the JCC’s commitment to serving the greater Pittsburgh area, Kunzman goes on to say, “The JCC is excited to expand its role in reducing complacency and indifference and enabling constituents to exercise their right to vote in fighting for what they believe in.”
