I Lived, We Live: What Did We Miss?

Robinson Building

January 15, 2019 to May 26, 2019

Something that is loved is never lost.
–Toni Morrison (Beloved)

I Lived, We Live: What Did We Miss? is a creative installation project organized by Hazelwood’s Center of Life, the Greater
Hazelwood Community and Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design. It’s a story about love, family and resilience. It’s a story about loss and trauma. It is about ways in which collective loss is remembered, expressed and claimed by its survivors. The outcome of a semester-long senior School of Design capstone project, it also illustrates how powerful art and creativity can be in wrestling with societal issues that are difficult to make concrete.

The exhibit will in the JCC Robinson building from now through May 26, 2019
