Which Purim Character are you ?

Purim is the Jewish equivalent of Halloween–in Spring

We dress up in costumes, have our faces painted and eat homemade hamantashens. Still deciding on a costume? Take this quiz, find out which Purim Character you are and pick your costume accordingly. Then come join us–we have planned quite the extravaganza.

The JCC will host Peace * Love * Purim at the JCC in Squirrel Hill on Sunday, March 20, from 1-4 pm. There will be a drum circle, human jenga set and a Bounce House!!! Come decked out in your best costume for our first ever Purim Parade! For more details, check out the event page.

After the JCC Squirrel Hill Purim Carnival finishes, the party will continue outside with a Purim street-fair. Darlington Avenue will be closed from 4-8 pm for entertainment, food vendors, carnival games and young adult happy hour.

Make sure to mark off the 20th on your calendar (it’s next weekend). Dress up and come toast, eat and enjoy with the entire community!

All of this is made possible through a community effort between the JCC, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, NextGen:Pgh, Repair the World, Community Day School, Chabad, Hillel Academy, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, J’Burgh, Shalom Pittsburgh and Moishe House.
