JCC Youth sports

Building Skills, Confidence and Community

At the JCC, our youth sports programs are about more than just the game—they’re about fostering growth, teamwork, and lifelong connections. From basketball and soccer to hockey and tennis, our programs help kids and teens develop athletic skills while promoting good sportsmanship, discipline and confidence.

Sports and recreation play a vital role in a child’s development, teaching resilience, leadership and the value of working together toward shared goals. Our experienced coaches create a positive, inclusive environment where every participant feels supported and challenged to be their best.

Whether learning new skills, competing in leagues, or simply enjoying the joy of play, JCC youth sports inspire a love for active living and community that extends far beyond the court or field. Join us in helping your child grow stronger, both on and off the field!

YOUTH BASKETBALL

Our reputation, facilities and staff have the JCC known as one of the Pittsburgh area’s premiere basketball destinations and offers members year round basketball competition, recreation, and education for players of all ages and levels of ability. Our basketball program has a rich history, dating back to 1909. Many of our coaches and staff have grown up playing basketball at the JCC themselves and are eager to help teach the next generation of players.

We offer a wide range clinics and in-house leagues for players in kindergarten through 8th grade. Our programs are designed to foster an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and grow their love for the game.

We offer fall and spring skills clinics to keep players engaged during the offseason. Registration for these open in August and December.
