JCC State of Mind: October 23, 2026 – Responsibility to Community

This week we were proud to host Brilliant Beginnings, in partnership with PNC and its PartnerUp initiative, bringing together nearly 200 seniors from 18 high schools for a meaningful opportunity to prepare for life after graduation.

PartnerUp connects students, schools, and employers to help young people develop essential workplace skills, explore career pathways, and build connections that can open doors to future opportunities. Launched in Pittsburgh in 2018 and expanded to Cleveland in 2022, the program reflects the power of collaboration in preparing the next generation for success.

At the JCC, we believe our responsibility to the community extends beyond the programs and services we provide within our walls. It means bringing people and organizations together, creating opportunities for connection, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the future of our entire region.

By joining forces with programs like Brilliant Beginnings and PartnerUp, the JCC helps bridge the gap between education and employment, empowering young people to envision their futures and pursue meaningful careers. These investments are essential to building a skilled workforce, strengthening our local economy, and ensuring that the Pittsburgh region remains a place where individuals and businesses can thrive.

Economic development starts with people. When we invest in our young people and help connect them with the skills, relationships, and opportunities they need to succeed, we invest in the long-term vitality of our community.

We are grateful to PNC, the participating schools, local employers, and all the partners who share our commitment to creating pathways to success. Together, we are helping build a brighter future for Pittsburgh.

Wishing you and your families a Shabbat shalom,
Jason
