Youth Fitness and Sports Fall Classes

Teen Fitness Certification: ages 13-15 (SQ)
This two-hour orientation class MUST be completed by teens prior to using the Centerfit facility. Teens will learn Centerfit rules, how to work the equipment, review safety and set goals. We also offer private certification with a personal trainer.Another option for certification is one hour with a personal trainer. Contact

Deck Time: ages 10-13
Exercise with your friends.  A JCC fitness instructor will lead you through a Workout of the Day.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5 pm

Upper Deck: ages 13-16
Small group training with more advanced weight training techniques in addition to boot camp and HIIT training. By appointment ; minimum group of 3.
$60/ 8 Sessions.

Teen TRX: ages 10+ 
The TRX Suspension Trainer leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you challenge yourself, because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. Space is limited.

Sailfish Strength Training: for
swimmers ages 13+ (SQ)
Build total body strength using
traditional weight training exercises to enhance swim performance with special attention to injury prevention of the shoulder. By appointment.
10 sessions/$150

Fencing: ages 5+
This is a great introduction to Olympic Fencing. The physical and mental benefits of fencing include coordination, agility, balance, flexibility, strength, cardiovascular endurance, focus, hand-eye coordination and problem solving. All equipment is provided; please wear athletic clothing (long pants) and athletic shoes. The instructor is Iana Dakova, a professional fencer and a member of the Bulgarian National Team from 1984-1991.

Increase your skill level in basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer and tennis. Private lessons provide motivation, training and coaching. Partner sessions available.

This 90-minute orientation MUST be completed by teens prior to using the facility. $45/group session First Sunday of the month, 1:30 pm $60/private session with a trainer.

Deck Time:
ages 10-13 Exercise with your friends under the supervision of JCC personal trainers, who will create a Workout of the Day.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 pm
Begins January 9 $5/session; $45/10 visits

Girls on the Run:
grades 3-5.The program nurtures confidence and a lifetime appreciation of fitness through dynamic lessons and running games, culminating with a celebratory 5K run. Mondays and Wednesdays March 12-May 23 4:30-6 pm $175; register at www.girlsontherun.org Financial aid is available
