Big changes for the Musical program at the JCC!

Because so many of our artistic high-school-aged teens wanted to be able to participate in their home school’s Winter/Spring musicals, we are switching the Middle School and the High School Musicals. The High School Musical will now take place in the Fall and the Middle School Musical will take place in the Winter/early Spring.

The show will have performances on Dec 14, 16, 17.

We also are happy to announce that we will have a new Director for the High School Musical, Mrs. Sonya Carceres, or “Mrs. C.”! Mrs. C was formerly an opera singer and musical theater professional before moving into education. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University as well as a certificate in Music Education from Duquesne. She enjoys eating ramen, reading and performing Shakespeare, and strong coffee!

Auditions for the Middle School Musical are coming up!

Auditions for MEAN GIRLS JR will take place on December 3rd from 1-5pm. We will meet in Room 154 in the Basement of the Robinson Building at 5738 Darlington Road.

Participants should come with a Broadway song or song from a musical to sing.
