Calling all SHUC members, friends, and neighbors: You are cordially invited to the 2017 Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition Annual Neighborhood Meeting and Open House! The annual meeting will on the topic, Transportation Safety and Mobility: Moving Safely and efficiently in Squirrel Hill.
Director Karina Ricks from the newly formed City of Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI), and Mark Magalotti, professor and coordinator from University of Pittsburgh’s Transportation Engineering program, will be our featured speakers.
After a brief overview of her department, Director Ricks and Professor Magalotti will discuss how the city’s Complete Streets and other possibilities for improving ped/bike safety can keep drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians moving safely and efficiently in an intersection like Forward-Murray-Pocusset, particularly during the current period of construction.
SHUC Board Members/committee chairs and partners will also be on hand to discuss various committee projects at their interactive tables around the perimeter of Levinson Hall.
