What is LAUNCH?

Ignite Your Potential

LAUNCH is an exclusive opportunity limited to just 20 participants. LAUNCH is held on Wednesday evenings at the JCC Squirrel Hill Second Floor; dinner and snacks are provided.

LAUNCH will provide you with the tools and knowledge to excel in high school, prepare for college or post-secondary training, and thrive in a competitive job market.

The LAUNCH experience will encourage you to follow your passions and inspire you to create your own ventures.

Build Connections:

LAUNCH fosters open communication and collaboration and provides a bonding experience that will leave you with lifelong friends and resources to support your future endeavors.

Master Skills:

LAUNCH focuses on developing highly valued soft skills including communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, organization and time management. You’ll also learn the foundations of entrepreneurship, securing capital, financial management, marketing and running your own venture.

Bring Your Ideas to Life:

You’ll work alongside other talented young thinkers and doers to develop a venture idea that not only creates economic value but also makes a positive impact on society. Your journey culminates in a capstone project where you’ll pitch your idea to potential funders or partners.

Session dates are:

  • September 27
  • October 4, 25
  • November 1,8,15, 29
  • December 6,13

Each session will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Three individual capstone project sessions will be held Thursday, December 7 through Friday, December 22.

Transportation via Uber or bus pass can be arranged upon request.

LAUNCH participants receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program.

Thanks to the Segal Family Foundation for their generous support enabling us to offer this lifechanging opportunity to aspiring teen entrepreneurs.
