Family Assistance Center and More Info

Posted by JCC Staff on October 29, 2018
During this difficult, profoundly sad time, our thoughts are with the victims of the horrific event that occurred Saturday at Tree of Life Synagogue, and their families.

Ways to Give

  • Donations to support Tree of Life and families of victims can be made through the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
  • The JCC has been included in the Pittsburgh Foundation’s Critical Needs Alert campaign to raise funds for the eight organizations engaged in meeting the needs of those killed and wounded during the shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. #LoveIsStronger Critical Needs Alert will match dollar for dollar up to $150,000. To donate, please click HERE
  • Donations to the JCC can be made here. Please contact Fara Marcus, 412-339-5413.

Resources for Healing

  • Do You Need Somebody To Talk To?
Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS), in concert with our partners in the Jewish community, has organized counseling for anyone in the community. Learn more
  • Clergy Coffee “We Have to Talk”
    Thursday, November 8.
    9:45 – 11:30
Please join us at the JCC on November 8 for a Clergy Coffee. Spread the news to all of your spiritual leader networks. If ever there was a time for clergy to come together in and around Pittsburgh, it is now. As a community working together in solidarity, our resolve is strong and our voices loud.
