Nutrition Classes Will Promote Healthy Lifestyle

Posted by Brittany Reese on September 2, 2016

Hello! And Welcome!

I’m Brittany Reese, a registered dietitian, personal trainer, group exercise instructor and food lover. I am excited to start this blog series about helping people to achieve their health and wellness goals.

This blog will provide information and support concerning nutrition, health and wellness to our community at the Jewish Community Center. It is a platform to get people talking, thinking, debating and supporting each other.

While my life mostly revolves around food, both professional and personally, I am also an avid reader, crafter and lover of all animals-especially my cat Isabelle. I am excited that I can be a part of people opening up new opportunities for themselves and achieving things that they did not believe were possible. I am passionate about this field and I love talking to everyone about it — just ask my fiancée!

Food, health and well-being are issues that everyone has in common, and about which there are many ideas and theories. Since food is a part of everyone’s life, everyone wants a say in what they put into their bodies and how it may affect them!

Helping people to explore what it means to be healthy and how to achieve this is what I enjoy most about meeting with clients and group classes. The possibilities for leading a healthy life are almost endless and exploring these ideas and trying things out is what excites me most about my field. There is no one right way to lead a healthy life and it can and should be individualized for each person.

I hope you enjoy the blog and I will welcome your input. Please contact me, [email protected], if you have any questions or comments.

“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.”  ~B.K.S. Iyengar
