JCC - South Hills: Adults and Seniors

This exercise program using hand-held weights, resistance bands and balls is free to seniors who use Highmark® Security Blue, Freedom Blue, or Medigap Blue as their insurance provider.
There are 15 exercise classes per week, six days a week.

Games

  • Duplicate Bridge classes led by Don Averbach, Gold Life Master, for serious bridge players. Tuesdays, 6:45-9:45 pm; Thursdays, 12:30-3:30 pm, $5.
  • Novice Bridge Game: Join Darlene Mannheimer, Bronze Life Master, and other players with 0-199 points. Partners available or bring your own partner. Tuesdays, noon-3 pm; Thursdays, 6:00-9:30 pm.
  • Players Club: Come to the JCC for an afternoon of cards, mahj or games. Bring your friends or meet new ones. Fridays, ongoing. Noon-3pm, Social Hall. JCC membership required, no fee.

Art

Watercolor Painting: Don't miss this opportunity to work with artist Kathleen Zimbicki, who recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. She instructs a lively class on watercolor techniques. Supplies are not included. Materials list is available at the Front Desk, or by calling (412) 278-1975. JCC membership required.
